"[W]riting letters... won't benefit me, but maybe [it will help] no one else go through what I'm going through."
- a woman incarcerated at Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility
Have you had an experience with the criminal justice system? Do you have a loved one behind bars with a story that is going unheard? We want to make the realities of our criminal justice system known. Please share your story with us to help raise awareness. There are many ways to contribute to the Voices Project anonymously or publicly. Here are some options:
1. Make a two-minute video of yourself talking about your experience with the criminal justice system--on your cell phone (tip: hold it horizontally). Consider what was challenging. What would've been helpful? What do people who aren't connected to the criminal justice system need to know? See examples here.
3. Find us on Facebook and message us a picture of yourself and a brief paragraph about your experience. See an example here.
4. Share artwork with us by Vermont prisoners. We are collecting for a 2018 exhibit at the state house!
